The RIO Club and BWA Fashion Show fundraising helps children’s education project
It was a very special morning at the BWA house on June 9th as we witnessed the culmination of one of the fundraising initiatives of the 2015 Fashion Show Space Odyssey, held on May 9th at the Shangri La.
The RIO Club had sponsored a generous draw card cash prize of 5000 GBP at the BWA Fashion Show, and the winner Mr. William Bright, the lucky winner chose donate the 2500 GBP charity component of his prize to Yayasan Amal Mulia, a beautiful children’s center based in South Jakarta.
At an intimate coffee morning held at the BWA house, Mr William Grey of The Rio Club handed over the cheque for 50 million IDR to Ibu Dani from Yayasan Amal Mulia. “The Rio Club is always looking for means to contribute back to our community and we are happy to be able to do so using the BWA Fashion Show as a platform”.

Yayasan Amal Mulia Indonesia is a charity organisation based in South Jakarta which runs several programs for orphaned, abandoned and/ or children with a disability. It also provides shelter for the elderly and people with disabilities who are abandoned by their families.
The funds donated to the Yayasan by the BWA Fashion show winner will be used towards funding the education of their high school children, who due to the lack of birth certificates are unable to access the government schools. The BWA has in the past also supported the charity for the education of 19 students. For more information log onto www.amalmulia.com
