THE RIO CLUB AND The Java St. Andrew Society and St Andrew’s Ball

It is with a sense of pride that The RIO Club has sponsored the JAVA ST ANDREW SOCIETY since 1994.

Club founder William Gray being born in Scotland took to supporting such venues when he arrived in Jakarta over twenty years ago.

Founded in 1919, JSAS aims to celebrate Scotland and all things Scottish here in Jakarta. From smaller gatherings for a wee swallie to ceremonious extravaganzas such as the annual JSAS Charity Ball it is an opportunity for everyone to raise their glasses and toast Bonnie Scotland.

The RIO CLUB continues to sponsor the JSAS St Andrew’s Ball every year, at the venue in 2015 they donated a door prize of 1500 GBP to one lucky winner
